Ami Okazaki is a creator specializing in storytelling.
Ami was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to the United States for college.
She is currently a senior majoring in Scene Design at Boston University. Her primary focus is scenic design and production design, but she enjoys exploring different ways to tell a story.
Her design for Caryl Churchill’s Machinal is chosen for the 2023 Emerging Exhibit at the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space. Ami recently worked on Little Women (Boston University Opera Institute, 2023) at the Joan and Edgar Booth theatre as a Scenic designer. Her Upcoming credits include Alligator-A-Phobia in 3D! (Boston Playwrights Theatre, 2023).
